Okami is my favorite game ever... 
so of course I had to make sure I submitted something to the contest! 
Exciting!
Here, Okami Amaterasu appears to paint her story and light onto a darkening world. :3
The style of Okami was... really hard for me. x_x I'm in awe of all the entries that mimic it perfectly! But I was really inspired by the concept art for the game's version of River of the Heavens... so pretty. The entire journey is a truly peaceful, 'feel-good' game.
Realistic Amaterasu doesn't have her reflector because, ah... more people have to believe in her to see it? ^_^;
Now that my front page is basically Okami, I guess it's time to submit something else...

What struck me most about this picture is the use of the two different styles; the ink-drawing itself placed within a more realistic background, yet the flow of the color scheme and content merge them together. Wonderful!
